This report was based on a new book released last week in Kenya called
AIDS in Kenya: Socioeconomic Impact and Policy Implications. It was
published by Family Health International under the AIDSCAP Project. You
can get a copy from AIDSCAP. E-mail to Steve Forsythe at
sforsythe@fhi.org or call at 703-516-9779.

Subject: Kenya AIDS Report

On my way to work today I heard a brief report on BBC Newshour about a
report about the impact of AIDS on Kenya. They talked about a 15%
reduction
in economic growth, and a million street children orphans. I can accept
the
possibility of these predictions but I would like to see the evidence
that
these statements are based upon.

Does anybody know what this report was based on. I would be very grateful
for a copy of the original report.

Thank you,

Richard Laing
