[A note from SEA-AIDS]

The WHO Western Pacific Regional office based in Manila has prepared a
Special Edition (numbert 10) of the STD/AIDS/HIV Surveillance Report
in recognition of ;

- the 50th anniversary of WHO,
- 1997 World AIDS Day
- 4th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific,
held in Manila in October 1997.

This issue includes a collection of articles that have appeared in
recent editions (7, 8 and 9) of the STD/HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report
published by the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific as well as
two original articles.
