PROCAARE: RFI--Ramadan and fasting

With the imminent arrival of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, we 
want to provide advice to Muslim PWAs on how to minimize any risks to 
their health that fasting might cause. We'd also like to identify any 
benefits (other the the obvious spiritual ones) which might accrue.

Does anyone have any experience in this area? I haven't managed to 
find any literature on the subject.
