Dear Magtte Mboj,
I would like to first congratulate you on the excellent themes and sub-themes, you have
chosen for the conference.
I would like to draw attention to a recent episode in a village in India where there is
ongoing mid-day meal programme for school children. All the children of the school refused
to have lunch with two HIV positive children. Community and home care is not complete
without care in schools. I feel that schooling for HIV positive children and the role
of teachers can be added as a sub-theme.
Sathyanarayanan,

Hi -
I think the role of social workers (not social care) should be included. In many of the
developed countries, social work is a recognized, licensed profession that is taking much
of the responsibility for providing care and services to individuals who are living with
HIV. I believe that it has not been adequately addressed by many of the international
conferences.
Thank-you for the opportunity to have this input.
Do you know when the call for papers will be distributed for this conference?
