Friends,
I agree with Carla S. Alexander from Baltimore regarding palliative care. It is such a
very vital and important component of the overall care for people living with HIV and
AIDS. Holistically, it is highly recommended that palliative care must be done right from
the time of the person's diagnosis.
We must remember that there are losses in a person the moment he or she learns of the HIV
status and HIV touches and affects the whole aspect of a persons life, all the different
social life areas of the person, it is very encompassing and no amount of words can best
describe how it is to be affected directly or indirectly by HIV thus it is really of
utmost need to employ palliative care among people living with HIV and AIDS.
