Greetings,
I do agree with Joyce, because so many are confused with the is CHC. We also need to
explain the several models of CHBC, which do exist in countries of the region. We are
challenged with expanding the knowledge and skills of the CHBC provider to provide more
advanced nursing and clinical care, as well as counselling for the PLHA's and the family
in the HOME. This is our chance to really bring these key concepts and realities to all
our colleagues at the Conference.

Colleagues,
I also agree with Joyce. I know that anything from a home visit, to dropping off a food
parcel or to administering pain management treatment are included in the term or referred
to as HC (Home care). It is also discussed that any form of visitation contributes to the
psychosocial support of the person or family. The costs incurred in these various ways of
providing HC differ a lot, and I would suggest some kind of classification by type of HC
provided (i.e. time spent, costs, medically, resources utilized, etc.)
