Stigma among doctors.

***************************

Dear Members,

I'm happy to announce the launch of a monthly newsletter containing technical information
on HIV/AIDS for capacity building of Government Doctors on HIV/AIDS. This is a joint
initiative of the Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control society and the Institute of Community
Medicine, Madras Medical College, Chennai, India.

One of the suggestions that have come up is using this tool to destigmatize doctors about
HIV/AIDS. Inspite of our efforts in various fronts, I strongly feeI we have a long way to
go before clearing the stigma in toto amongst our colleagues would be much obliged if
members could share their positive experiences in this issue and suggest what sort of
articles in the newsletter will help achieve this.
