bmjlearning.com

bmjlearning.com is an interactive learning website for doctors and other clinicians who
work in primary care. It is aimed to help doctors with their appraisals and revalidation.
It offers a wealth of learning resources. It is designed to help qualified doctors keep up
to date. It is ideal for doctors who have trouble travelling long distances to meetings
and who want to learn at home or in their surgery in their own time and at their own pace.

The learning resources include:
* interactive case histories that train and test your consultation skills
* 'just in time' learning modules that give a brief overview of common topics with
questions and answers at the end
* 'read reflect respond' modules that encourage the reader to reflect on what they have
learnt.

Here are some modules that you might find helpful:

* tuberculosis: an update on management
* hepatitis C infection
* serious communicable diseases: an update on clinical and ethical issues
* testing for HIV in general practice
* refugee doctors: what you can do to help
* promoting smoking cessation
* working with homeless mentally ill people
* type 1 diabetes: diagnosis and management
* type 2 diabetes: diagnosis and management
* asthma: diagnosis and management
* hypertension: diagnosis and management.
