Sustainability of Home Based Care
- Sarah Haslegrave, UK
*************
Hello,
I am a new member of the ProCAARE forum and look forward to the lively discussions.
I am currently writing a Master's dissertation on the sustainability of home based
care programs in Sub-Saharan Africa. I am particularly interested in the extent to which
partnerships and or linkages between the local government, health service
providers/facilities, and community impacts on sustainability. I am also interested in the
issue of dependency on external funding.
If anyone has articles, documents or presentations which they might share with me I would
be very grateful.
I notice there have been a number conferences on home based care in the last few
years but I can find little in the way of documentation from these events. It seem a pity
since this is just the type of information that needs to be shared!
I am happy to share the results of my research when it is finished.
[*Mod note: The ProCAARE archives has several reports on past conferences on Home-Based
Care including contacts, references and links to documents. Please check out the archives
at http://www.procaare.org/archives/procaare.php . We look forward to the results of
Sarah's research. Thank you]
Thank you
