**************
I appreciate the concern of people on testing before marriage since majority
of the women with HIV seems infected due to infected husbands. Testing
should happen before marriage to know each other better and it should be
done on a voluntary basis. Religious groups plays a very important role in
making compulsory counseling on HIV/AIDS before marriage. The couple then
decide whether they should go for testing or not and one may say not to
marriage without HIV testing, it is individual decision.
If it is compulsory testing before marriage, who can assure of faithfulness
after marriage? People will provide false negative reports as many private
Labs will provide with the influence of money. And many will prefer live in
together relationships and so on.
best wishes,
Celina
