Dear All,

Almost all the countries are concerned about the growing trend of AIDS. But could I know is there any specific policy on AIDS to combat it globally. I know at this point of time this may seem indifferent. But why am I saying is that the approaches are different. Undoubtedly, we have to focus on Prevention. But is it necessary to compartmentalise AIDS with other disease?

I believe two things are going hand in hand, one is TB and other one is HIV. It is being said that TB will be Global killer, so also the HIV/AIDS. Now the question is how to tackle the both? So my point of saying, what is the policy to combat the both globally?

Secondly are we linking the HIV only with underlying cause or ever with the root cause, especially in Africa region and also in India. If it is so, how are we going to address the same.

Thirdly, if AIDS will be treated vertically then how do we will integrate the same with other programmes.

Fourthly, what is the priority, abstinence, be faithful or condom...? If one is the priority then do we give much more emphasis in terms programme and policies for the same and if so which way. I found the third became the most priority over-riding the first two.
