OMOLOLU'S DEATH, A SAD EVENT INDEED
[*Mod note: Please note that there is also a blogspot set up with tributes to Omololu at http://omololu-falobi.blogspot.com/ The JAAIDS team will also send us information next week on how we can contribute to Omololu's family and support JAAIDS work. Thanks. * ]
The news of the demise of this great friend whom I met at JAAIDS Office at Ogba,Lagos in 2002, is not only devastating but frustrating. Frustrating because it has exposed once more the level of insecurity in our country and devastating because a champion in the battle against AIDS in Nigeria, Africa and the World has been plucked prematurely.
His unique style in thie battle against this disease I will miss.
While wishing him an awakening in the greater World Beyoud into a more joyful activity, I would want to call on all of us who call him our friend not to allow his dream of an AIDS-less World through his pet project,JAAIDS to die.
May we not also allow his widow and his children, his aged mother to suffer.
For those who committed this crime against the millions of victims of Hiv/Aides for whom Falobi spent the greater part of his Life,I leave the Wisdom of the Almighty to judge.
Let this tragedy which has befallen us in Nigeria in the Sudden death of Falobi ginger all those who have taken the gauntlet to advocate and fight this dreaded disease HIV/AIDS.
